Overview

University:   With a student population of 14,300, Loughborough University,is located in the heart of the United Kingdom. The campus covers 216 acres, and sits in the idyllic English countryside halfway between Manchester and London.

Location:  The city of Loughborough is a busy and prosperous market town of 47,000. The nearby cities of Leicester, Nottingham and Derby are all located under 30 minutes away and offer theatres, concert halls, and sports stadiums. London is 90 minutes away by train, and the East Midlands International Airport is only 8 miles from the university.

Eligibility

The program is open to Purdue students who have completed at least two semesters of university study by the start of the program. Successful candidates will demonstrate academic success, maturity and a desire to experience another culture.

GPA Requirement: 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

If students complete courses while abroad from Purdue colleges that have not approved the program, they might be able to earn transfer credit for those courses. Students interested in pursuing transfer credit should discuss this with both their academic advisor and their study abroad advisor before applying to the program.

Housing

The university offers a variety of housing options, giving students the opportunity to choose the style that fits their needs. In catered halls, students may use the nearby cafeteria for meals.
