Overview
This program is a direct exchange between Purdue University and Ruhr University Bochum.
Ruhr University Bochum was established in 1965 and has grown to become one of the largest universities in Germany with a student population of around 35,000. The university is well known for the numerous contacts its schools of Science and Engineering entertain with industry through important research in many different fields. Bochum has a population of some 500,000 and is situated in the Ruhr River valley, the economic nerve center of Germany.

Eligibility
The program is open to Purdue students in good standing who have completed at least two semesters of university study by the start of the program. Successful candidates will demonstrate academic success, maturity, and a desire to experience another culture.

Academic Program
Ruhr University Bochum emphasizes interdisciplinarity through the integration of the engineering sciences with other interdisciplinary institutes. The Department of Electrical Engineering offers a wide variety of courses.
