With its nearly 400,000 inhabitants, Zürich is the largest city in Switzerland. While Bern is the political capital, Zürich is considered the business capital. Formerly an industrial town, the focus is shifting to commercial business. With its theatres, concert halls, museums, art galleries, libraries and book shops, Zürich is also a center of cultural importance.

Eligibility
The promenade at Lake Zurich.
Students participating in this program take graduate-level courses. It is suitable for Purdue Engineering and Science majors who have completed at least five semesters of university study by the start of the program. Applicants should be in good standing. Successful candidates will demonstrate academic success, maturity and a desire to experience another culture.

Academic Program
Language of Instruction: German & English
Semester Course Load: 12 Purdue credit hour minimum
ETH courses are going to be rigorous and challenging - befitting a university that's one of the best in the world.
Participants in this exchange will need to take 2/3 of their courses in one department with the remaining 1/3 in other ETH departments.
ETH offers intensive German courses before the beginning of the semester and regular classes during the semester. Students need to pay a CHF 100 registration fee for intensive courses.
Housing
Housing in Zürich is at a premium. ETH Zurich provides a limited number of furnished single rooms for exchange students. Students who are eligible will receive the application link after admission to the university.
