ETH Zurich: Swiss Federal Institute of Technology

Study at ETH and live in lovely Zurich!

ETH Zürich dates back to the year 1855, when the founders of modern-day Switzerland created it as a center of innovation and knowledge.

At ETH Zurich, students discover an ideal environment for independent thinking. Situated in the heart of Europe, yet forging connections all over the world, ETH Zurich is pioneering effective solutions to the global challenges of today and tomorrow.

With its nearly 400,000 inhabitants, Zürich is the largest city in Switzerland. While Bern is the political capital, Zürich is considered the business capital. Formerly an industrial town, the focus is shifting to commercial business. With its theatres, concert halls, museums, art galleries, libraries and book shops, Zürich is also a center of cultural importance.
