Program Description

Enjoy a 4-week experience in the heart of Italy’s Tuscany and earn 6 credits!! Students will live, study and learn in picturesque Siena, Italy. Special excursions include trips to see how those cultural icons pasta and cheese are made, a winery tour and tasting, the picturesque Tuscan town of San Gimignano and a cooking class. Siena is conveniently located an hour away from Florence and 2.5 hours from Rome. 

 


Academic Credit

Courses offered:
COM49502 Travel Writing and Promotion: Explore the world of travel bloggers an­d Instagrammers, guidebook writers, and what makes good travel writing and promotion.
COM303: Intercultural Communication:
Explore the complex relationship between culture and communication with a special session on Italian culture.

Program Cost

Students pursuing program participation accept financial responsibility. Purdue will take measures to mitigate financial risks, although will not be liable for loss.

Estimated costs:

Cost: $3,500-$4,500 (includes housing, tuition, Purdue fees, day trips, transportation to and from Rome airport, WiFi, some meals)

(Does not include airfare and meals).

Application Deadline

Applications are accepted immediately until Feb. 10. The non refundable $500 deposit must be paid by Feb. 10 to ensure your spot.
