Overview
Eligibility
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS: If you hold a passport from a non-OECD country, you will have an additional requirement for enrolling at Yonsei University, and will need to complete your application early to ensure receiving your Certificate of Enrollment in a timely manner. Please reach out to Chelsey Mullins (mullins4@purdue.edu) if you have questions.
The program is open to Purdue students in good standing who have completed at least two semesters of university study by the start of the program. Successful candidates will demonstrate academic success, maturity, and a desire to experience another culture.

Students interested in completing courses while abroad from Purdue colleges or departments that are not listed above should discuss this with their study abroad advisor before applying to the program.
Academic Program
Students will enroll in 4-5 classes at Yonsei University. More information about academics can be found on the CIEE website.
Please note that while CIEE offers the opportunity to take online coursework through ASU Online, Purdue students are not permitted to enroll in these options during the program and must take their coursework directly through CIEE and/or the local partner universities they partner with (where applicable).
Excursions
- Visit ancient temples, museums, and historic sites.
- See the notorious Korean Demilitarized Zone.
- Relish the natural beauty of a national park.
- Get a taste of family life with a short homestay of one or two nights. Visit Nami Island, a half-moon shaped island that is popular with tourists all year round
- Tour ancient palaces while wearing a hanbok, traditional Korean costume
- Enjoy CIEE K-pop/ Indie Concerts
Housing
Standard Housing: Includes a double-occupancy room in either an on-campus or off-campus residence hall. The on-campus residence hall is about a 15-minute commute on foot to CIEE Seoul. The off-campus housing is located about a 40-minute commute by public transportation to both the Yonsei University campus and CIEE Seoul.
On-campus accommodations include lounges, study rooms, a fitness center, a shared kitchen, and laundry facilities. Internet access is provided.?Off-campus accommodations are similarly equipped.
Select Plus Housing:?Includes a limited number of single rooms in a residence hall off campus, within a 30-minute commute by public transportation to both CIEE Seoul and the Yonsei University campus. Residence halls feature kitchens, common areas, and laundry facilities, all shared by residents. Internet access is provided. Select Plus housing requires an additional fee.

Financial Aid
Purdue University financial aid may be applied to the costs of studying abroad. Students interested in receiving financial aid should
- direct financial aid inquiries to the Division of Financial Aid on the West Lafayette campus;
- consult website Study Abroad Financial Aid Process;
- complete and submit the FAFSA by the appropriate deadline.
NOTE: Recipients of certain tuition remission and scholarship programs should pay careful attention to the regulations for using those benefits for study abroad. Ask your financial aid advisor about any limitations.
